GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM2
This Kingdom multiplies what Jesus began but certainly not with any form of godliness without power.
The Father spoke through the prophets and the holy men of God. But none of this was the Kingdom of God – not until the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary with Jesus and then not until Jesus spoke the living words of life in God. The Kingdom of God was here when Jesus forgave sin and cast out demons. The Kingdom of God was multiplied when the Holy Spirit fell on the church and Jesus began to live in people and distribute Himself through those who live in Jesus’ name. Think on this, this Christmas and release the gifts that are Christ in you!
‘The Kingdom of God comes from the Spirit of Sonship and the Spirit of Sonship comes from our life in the Father.’
'Kingdom.' Read the authority of Christ the King. The religious spirit would have us model a baby Jesus. The Holy Spirit wants to be Christ in you! We can help the aged, go on missions and we will have a gospel of sorts. But it takes Jesus in us by the Holy Spirit to be filled with Christ and multiply a gospel of the Kingdom.
The Kingdom of God is Jesus. It is His life and power. It is life to be human, to live Godly and His life to love unconditionally. Life in Jesus’ name overcomes all that is death and releases all that is life. This Kingdom multiplies what Jesus began but certainly not with any form of godliness without power.
We are now in a season when the gospel of the Kingdom and other faint gospels will be clearly compared. Don't make the mistake of the leaders and teachers of religion who opted for what they already had and crucified Jesus. The master deception of the Enemy is substitute religion for life.
There was nothing 'worksy' about the service of Jesus. It was the outflow of the Spirit of His Father in Him. Jesus lived a live of obedience because He lived a life of love. The labour of Jesus, being the Kingdom of God, was marked by the authority and power of His Father. When Jesus ministered it was clear to all that His action came from love and could only have come from God. It was supernatural. He healed the sick, cast out demons and raised the dead. This was the kind of service in which Jesus touches the lady of the house who is ill with cold and flu and the fever leaves her. Expect to see similar authority released in you very soon.
There was more than human effort on display. This is the Kingdom of God because it is the work of the King. Painting the houses of the needy and weeding their gardens is admirable, but it is not necessarily the Kingdom of God. Atheists and agnostics can do a lot of good. But their actions do not contain spirit and life. Only the Son of Man indwelling man can do this.
People have a right to expect more from those in whom Jesus lives. Jesus is either the same Jesus that He was when He was in Palestine or what we have is not Jesus. It’s just us. Just a baby Jesus. The world has a right to more and we have an obligation to let people know that Jesus is alive.
When Jesus is our life and we are filled with the power of the Holy Spirit we can do better than the good minded atheist. We release rivers of living water and people remark with awe, ‘The Son of God was here today!
‘So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them’ Mark 1.31 NIV.
Jesus did not come to establish the Bible or get folks doing a routine called church. There’s a desperate world out there. It’s not religion they need. They need to see the life of heaven released on earth. Those who are teachers will uncover Jesus and explain the Kingdom of God in terms that cannot be refuted. Their labours will be filled with the Presence of God and signs that verify the Kingdom. Their exposition will be filled with rivers of life. Such teaching will not just be information, because they live in God and His life flows from them. Their words will multiply the Living Word and they will multiply restoration and resurrection power that can only come from God. Such teachers will multiply not just words but life.
‘Paul entered the synagogue and spoke boldly there for three months, arguing persuasively about the kingdom of God’ Acts 19.8.
Those who work with their hands and delight in acts of charity will dispense more than kindness. Rivers of God's life will flow from them. Like Stephen and Philip they will speak words of life and do acts that demonstrate the reality of the living Christ - in them!
'When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing' Acts 8.39 NIV.
