For some this will involve a painful break with a denominationally derived identity; the abandonment of doctrines that are a perversion of the truth and interpretations of the Bible and its scriptures that distort the word of God.

Frank Viola coined the term Epic Jesus because that is what He is. Jesus is Himself, the Chief Apostle of the Father and the real life of every man and woman. Jesus as you is church, Kingdom and new creation. He is your way to the Father and the living Representative of Father's love for you.
I culled the following quote from one of Ron McGatlin's recent posts on Open Heaven.

It is critical today that we walk in Father's plans and not our own; that we walk in Jesus and not in religion and that we are sons of the Father and not of organizations and versions of fatherhood that have more of a papal tint that the Fatherhood of Christ in mature people. If you are a son/daughter you will recognize the apostolic in others, discern apostolic teaching and genuine pastoring. If you have submitted to the mentoring of a personal Jesus you will have had many veils removed from your eyes and you will be able to recognize that which is what Father is doing and that which those who produce Ishmaels are doing. Ishmael was Abraham's son in the flesh. Your life is totally in the Holy Spirit, in Jesus and the Father. Because you are one with the Father, you will easily discern those who are doing Ishmael's and those who are doing what Father is doing in the season and the moment.

Ron McGatlin writes,

"Connect tightly where God’s love and guidance has taken you. God will lead you to leave ALL CLOSE CONNECTIONS with those who follow the enemy. This may include some family and some long term relationships. Do not expose the king’s treasury to those who are not sanctified by the fire of the Spirit of God. Do not linger in close connections with anything or anyone who is not truly seeking the kingdom. Be prepared to join with others to quickly enter into corporate endeavors of kingdom business and supply. THE SPIRIT OF GOD CAN GUIDE YOU IN ALL OF THESE ADJUSTMENTS." Abandon and disregard all previous training and experience that does not align with the reality of the kingdom of God coming forth in your life. Allow the Spirit to work in you miraculously and gloriously far beyond where your natural mind or your previous training could possibly take you.

To do this Christ must be our life and we must be willing to walk on water. Your identity will need to be in Jesus alone where you are a son in the Son of God and where you are propelled into your destiny from your place in Father's Heart. There are those of us whose socialization and previous training are the reason for our blindness and paralysis - a numbness that obscures from our view our parlous stagnation. Our being is wrapped in veils of a false gospel of deceit. This is the reason why we have eyes that do not see and ears that will not hear. Let us fall on our knees with the cry, 'Jesus help me and remove my veils!'

For some this will involve a painful break with a denominationally derived identity; the abandonment of doctrines that are a perversion of the truth and interpretations of the Bible and its scriptures that distort the word of God. This may seem as though the foundation of all we are had disappeared beneath us. But we must cease walking on this man-made reality and begin to walk with Jesus on the reality of Christ Himself. It is this shaking that will establish you on the firm foundation of Christ as your life and His Kingdom as your reality. Don't let spiritual inertia, timidity a certain denominational smugness or involvement with things of the natural world stand in your way. Kingdom vines and trees of life will wither due to involvement in good things and in the anesthesia of religion. But you will be a tree of life when the seed that is Jesus matures in you heart to re-invent the world in the image of Jesus.
